Donald Phillips has been in the real estate industry since the age of 19. Prior to founding PDR in 2001, Phillips served as manager of development and acquisition for Hock Development, Inc., where he led the identification of prospective projects throughout the Southeast, considerably increasing the company’s market value.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Phillips has developed over 3,000 multi-family residential units as well as office and retail spaces and municipal and medical facilities. With beginnings in multi-family housing and rentals, he later expanded his work into office, institutional, recreational, industrial and housing. He remains committed to selecting promising and often challenging projects with the best interest of communities, the environment and investors.
A native of Raleigh, NC, Phillips relocated and transitioned the PDR headquarters to Tampa, Fla., in 2003. He enjoys giving back to his community by being involved in multiple non-profit organizations. He was appointed to the Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) in 2008 by Governor Charlie Crist and recently Enterprise Florida, Inc. Board of Directors.
Our business organization is different than the vast majority of real estate developers. We operate with a full-time staff of 25 employees holding responsibilities which are typically outsourced by most developers.
